Centrally located on Oak Park's iconic Marion Street, Muse seeks to bring fresh and innovative
style to this historic brick street. Heather Anderson, the owner and architect of Muse, sees the
opening of her own boutique as the fulfillment of a life's aspiration. As a young girl, Heather
spent many contented hours lost in the pages of a glossy Voque mag. And she still does. With
the opening of Muse, she gets to put her dreamy speculation into practice.

When asked to describe her intended audience, Heather is adament that Muse resists usual
classifications. Not intended for the teenage crowd, the distinctly contemporary lines carried
at Muse are carefully chosen for overlap among seemingly diverse groups of women. According
to Heather, style has a way of transcending boundaries. The possibilities of a beautifully
constructed printed blouse are endless and defy outdated limitations. Heather's flexible and
inclusive philosophy of style extends to her philosophy of the ideal shopping experience.
She explains, "Above all things, I want people to feel welcome and happy in our space. I
believe honest and easy communication with my customers is vital to our success."

True to its name, Muse wishes to inspire its customers by carrying lines of hard-to-find and
emerging designers. Heather purposely sought out apparel and accessories collections that
were still under the radar and yet would resonate with Oak Park's shoppers. "I want to introduce
our customers to new and exciting lines they've never seen anywhere else and pieces that are
truly original," she explains. In addition, Muse carries easy-to-wear, no-brainer basics and
denim, no less addictive for their simplicity and certainly no less inspired.
